Jennifer works with college and high school students who have an appetite for the artistic lifestyle.

Performing since the age of 9, Jennifer Loryn culminated her amateur theatrical musings when she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northwestern University.  With her acting degree fresh in hand, she moved to New York City, where she currently resides as a professional actor.  Recently, Jennifer sang for Hillary Clinton during a fundraiser dinner concert benefiting college campus activities.

Now, Jennifer uses her writing and performing experiences to teach workshops to younger artists.  A faculty associate for high school students across the nation, Jennifer spent a summer teaching at the Cherub program located on Northwestern’s campus.  She also has led many acting classes for middle & elementary students.  Additionally, after a successful run at NYC’s Don’t Tell Mama, Jennifer is taking her one-woman show to high schools and universities.  The workshop consists of three parts*:

1.      a sampling of her performance

2.      a writing session for students to develop their own material

3.      a Q and A period focusing on the intricacies of show business, particularly in NYC

*The length of the workshop varies depending on the scheduling restrictions of the venue.  Please note that if a school requests a straight cabaret performance, “SWF Seeking…” can be performed in its entirety.

This program is open to students of every scholastic, artistic, and economic background.  Regardless of prior experience, the students will be able to touch into their individual voices and develop a fresh sense of self.  Theatre is a home for diverse people and unique stories; this workshop is directed with those ideals in mind.
